JBT Corporation’s Automated Systems business is a leading global supplier of automated, self-guided vehicle systems to the automotive, food & beverage, hospital and consumer product manufacturing industries. With offices in the United States and Europe, we are one of the world’s leading producers of automated vehicle systems.

We have an opportunity for a Cloud Architect o join our Engineering team in the Greater Philadelphia area.

Responsibilities
Architect, design, and build cloud solutions around JBT’s Automatic Guided Vehicle control platform to bring the best of cloud capabilities, solutions, and security for the future.
Design and develop application architectures for cloud and cloud/hybrid-based systems based on business requirements.
Act as a subject matter expert for technologies related to cloud-based systems.
Perform ongoing cloud research and assessment of new analysis approaches for potential design and use within the product.
Evaluate and recommend cloud security technologies and solutions.
Must have familiarity with cloud-based data analytics tools and techniques.
Must have cloud technology certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect and Microsoft certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
Must be able to lead and develop a solution with team members from different internal departments.

Qualifications
Requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, automation technology, robotics or equivalent work experience. Advanced degree preferred.
Must have a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded platforms.
Ability to troubleshoot software issues in a comprehensive and creative manner.
Apply object-oriented design and development techniques, using C++ programming.
Assist with version control and release management.
Experience working with TwinCAT and Linux a plus.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Visio.
Must be able to travel up to 25% to customer site on a project as needed basis.
Must be able to travel internationally
Must be able to travel to Chalfont, PA on a quarterly basis
Must maintain a valid drivers license.
