JBT Kingston is a rapidly growing member of the JBT family and is expanding its operation. Currently we are looking for Machine assembly technicians that are looking for long term career growth potential.

JBT Kingston is a leader in the manufacture of Food Processing equipment and related technologies. We have seen tremendous sales growth in our product portfolio, and we are adding a second shift 3:00- 11:30 onto our operation with potential for first shift in the future.

As a machine assembly technician, you will be responsible for the assembly, wiring, plumbing, and testing of complex electro-mechanical equipment related to the food processing Industry.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities:

Assembly of complex mechanical sub-assemblies and final assemblies by interpreting 3D mechanical drawings or verbal instruction and inspecting the assemblies using micrometers, Calipers, scales, gages and other inspection type equipment.
Read and interpret 3D cad drawings, electrical schematics, Plumbing diagrams, Bills of materials and Routings.
Route wires and cabling through machine and terminate all connections within predetermined paths on the machine.
Make modification using hand tools such but not limited to Drills, saws, hole punches,
Evaluate parts or components for replacement, or upgrade.
Perform Quality checks on machines during build process.
Troubleshoot and repair errors found during the assembly cycle.
Report discrepancies back to management or Engineering to resolve and prevent future occurrences.
Review and recognize Quality problems related to fit ups, finishes or workmanship.
Meet production schedules as required and hit production metrics.
Low voltage wiring to high voltage wiring and testing experience (AC / DC circuits & single and 3 phase)
Low 24V and lower
High 240V / 480V
Open to formal Best Practice training and Lean Principles
Open to external RCI training
Understanding of standard mechanical tools and use for assembly

Qualifications
Requirements:

2-year degree or graduation from a technical school.
Ability to work OT.
Safety equipment needed

Able to read schematics
Problem Solving Skills
Customer First, Continuous improvement mind set.
Microsoft Office utilities (Word, excel, etc)
