We are seeking a supply chain professional with well-rounded business process and analytical experience to join our consulting team. This candidate will ensure successful execution of activities related to assigned consulting projects that include transportation strategy assessments, process and systems optimization, system selection and implementation, and modeling and analytics. The ideal candidate will have experience in the transportation industry with strategic assessments, systems implementation, lean process mapping, and general problem-solving to drive value to our clients.
What you will do:
Project scheduling and planning, business process flow mapping, system configuration, system piloting, system and user testing, user training, and integration design and testing with ERP, WMS and/or YMS systems
Conduct TMS planning and optimization analyses to determine least cost routing and answer other strategic transportation questions for clients
Conduct transportation data analysis to understand client shipping costs and volumes by facility, lane, region, etc.
Support TMS sales by helping research and write RFP responses and presentations, conduct product demonstrations, and correspond with existing and potential clients
What you will bring:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field
3-5 years of relevant experience operating, configuring and/or implementing MercuryGate TMS
Microsoft Office and Visio flow charting software proficiency
Outstanding ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; Ability to clearly/concisely communicate with clients, associates, management, and general stakeholders; Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills
Strong presentation skills; Ability to present and discuss strategies and technical information in a manner that establishes rapport, persuades others, and establishes understanding for technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem-solving techniques in a highly complex environment using leading-edge technology
Adaptability to changes in work (i.e. new client requirements or specifications) and working hours to accommodate busy periods
Strong analytic abilities required to turn mass data into project insights
Drive to troubleshoot issues, proactively identify, communicate on, and resolve issues and is comfortable pushing for satisfactory root cause analysis, either independently or with stakeholders
Drive to ask questions frequently and engage in and retain meaningful knowledge transfer to master business goals and processes
This position is remote and can be performed anywhere from within the United States
