Sr. Manager, Transportation Consulting

We are seeking a supply chain professional with well-rounded business process and analytical experience to join our Transportation Consulting (TC) team. This candidate will oversee projects that include strategic assessments, process and systems optimization, system selection and implementation, configuration, and modeling and analytics. The ideal candidate will have experience in the transportation industry with lean process mapping, and general problem-solving to drive value to our clients. Candidate will also assist Sales Executives in conducting site visits, RFP responses and preparation of Statements of Work (SOW’s). They are often asked to execute the role of a Project Manager for client project engagements and serve as Subject Matter experts for client training and go-live support.

What you will do:

Consult with clients and internal resources to define problems/opportunities and provide appropriate recommendations for possible solutions, considering upstream and downstream processes impacted by or influencing transportation decisions.
Manage current state understanding process, and future state development.
Advise on best-practice system configuration, testing, and user training.
Complete project management functions such as
Documentation management
Scheduling
Creation of status reports and meeting minutes
Issue management, resolution, and escalation
Risk mitigation
Completion of deliverables in timely manner
Perform organizational development duties such as researching and writing articles for publication as well as prepare and present enVista internal projects.
Stay updated on new services, processes, technologies, and industry trends.
Support sales initiatives by helping research and write RFP responses and presentations, conduct product demonstrations, and correspond with existing and potential clients.
Develop consulting team to support departmental goals.

What you will bring:

5-7 years of prior industry experience and MercuryGate TMS
Microsoft Office and VISIO flow charting software proficiency
Experience with – or ability to quickly learn – standardized implementation methodologies (e.g. enVista’s Assess / Build / Learn / Execute)
Experience using TMS or related planning and optimization software to conduct “what if” scenarios for freight consolidation, pooling, scheduling and other analyses
Business process focus and experience mapping process flows
Experience conducting general transportation and shipment data analysis
Well-organized, self-motivated, and detail oriented
Project management experience
Adaptability to changes in work (i.e. new client requirements or specifications)
Adjustable to changing working hours to accommodate busy periods
Outstanding ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; Ability to clearly/concisely communicate with clients, associates, management, and general stakeholders; Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills
Strong presentation skills; Ability to present and discuss strategies and technical information in a manner that establishes rapport, persuades others, and establishes understanding for technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem-solving techniques in a highly complex environment using leading-edge technology
Adaptability to changes in work (i.e. new client requirements or specifications) and working hours to accommodate busy periods
Strong analytic abilities required to turn mass data into project insights
This position is fully remote and can be performed from anywhere in the United States
