Position Summary:
The Director of Corporate IT is responsible for establishing, planning, and administering the overall policies and goals for the information technology department to meet corporate objectives. Analyzes the needs of different departments and determines ways to meet business objectives by modifying existing or developing new information processing systems. Directs and oversees Enterprise Application and related functions, the IT Project Roadmap, and Corporate IT functions. Also, manages and owns the relationship with our Managed Services division that oversees Infrastructure and Service Desk and Desktop Support.
Primary Responsibilities:
Consulting with executives and department managers to exchange information, present new approaches, and to discuss process and system changes.
Defines, ensures compliance, and executes IT governance principles and processes.
Integrates information technology for business success by applying knowledge of the organization’s systems, structures and functions to determine how best to serve the business with technology.
Chairs the IT Governance Panel (Corporate IT, Cyber Security & MSP).
Determine the IT Project Roadmap portfolio.
Direct the overall IT CapEx and OpEx budgets
Oversees procurement of Information Technology goods and services. Participates in vendor contract negotiations for all new computer equipment and software purchased for the corporation.
Participates in various strategic initiatives; may serve as project lead.
Work with Solution Group leaders to align our IT and Application needs to meet corporate objectives
Build and maintain the tools we need to support the growth of the business
Maintain a strong understanding of our business and tailor our approaches accordingly
Screens, interviews and makes recommendations for hiring potential employees. Coaches and provides leadership, direction, motivation and supervision of direct reports. Appraises performance, provides performance feedback, takes corrective actions and oversees training and development of staff.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience Needed:
• Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. / B.S.) in Information Technology or related field
• Significant Application Implementation/Integration experience
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in IT management or IT Director role
• Demonstration of strategic thinking and understanding of Corporate IT governance
• Effectively communicates with Sr. levels in the organization as it relates to Corporate IT
• Experience effectively communicating to and influencing Sr and Executive Leadership
• Excellent project and program management stills and experience
• Ability to partner with other corporate departments in order to achieve mutual objectives
