Sr. Procurement Manager

As the Sr. Procurement Manager, you will work closely with internal teams and Sales, as well as suppliers and clients to purchase the needed products, develop and improve procurement processes, maintain inventory and asset management databases, and maintain and audit client contracts to track and update licenses and services provided.  With a focus on IT related goods and services, your job duties will include product sourcing, providing cost-benefit analysis, negotiating prices with vendors and suppliers, managing client expectations, and overseeing the entire supply chain process.  You will manage and develop a team of Procurement Specialists and align expectations and SLA’s for performance of the procurement team with the rest of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide overall unit goal setting and direction
Coordinate with all departmental activities including DC and MSP Operations, Sales, Legal, Finance, and all lines of business.
Hold and participate in meetings to maintain awareness of programs, procurement processes, and any issues relevant to support organizational programs and goals related to procurement, license & contract management, and product sourcing.
Maintain knowledge of technology products and services provided by the organization
Participates in developing and providing metric data to support the Managed Services P&L by conducting analysis and providing relevant procurement and contract data.
Initiates and participates in personnel actions such as; hiring, terminations, promotions and salary increases.
Develop standards, manage and audit performance of external vendors and suppliers
Coordinate with Sales, Legal and Finance to perform any due diligence, mitigate risks, and monitor performance of internal procurement functions in relation to processes and internal SLAs
Monitor changes and updates to contractual agreements for all clients and vendors
Evaluate, recommend, and help implement proper tools for procurement and asset management
Review, develop, and provide continuous improvement to purchasing strategies, processes, and audits.
Review and provide verification for invoices and purchase orders
Negotiate prices and contracts with vendors and suppliers, while maintaining records of goods ordered, received and delivered
Help to establish SLA’s for procurement and ensure timely fulfillment of orders within stated SLAs
Stays current with purchasing technology trends and oversees purchase and implementation, as necessary

Skills & Experience Needed:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Management, Finance, Business, Accounting, or other related field
Eight years’ experience in procurement, preferably for IT related services and product
Three years’ experience in management, preferably managing a procurement team
Preferred to have current relationships with Vendors/Suppliers to assist with Product Sourcing
Certifications a plus: Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), or Certificate of Professional Supply Management (CPSM)
Demonstrated skills in influencing, building, and maintaining business relationships
Demonstrated skills in negotiating pricing and contracts
Excellent Communication and Customer Service Skills
Excellent Organization and time Management Skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
